Mais peu de groupes ont re\u00e7u moins de reconnaissance ou m\u00e9ritent plus d&#8217;\u00e9loges que les professionnels des RH qui ont travaill\u00e9 sans rel\u00e2che pour aider leurs organisations \u00e0 fonctionner au milieu d&#8217;un oc\u00e9an de peur, d&#8217;incertitude et d&#8217;informations souvent douteuses. Du jour au lendemain, ils ont d\u00fb se transformer en experts dans une multitude de domaines juridiques, de sant\u00e9, de s\u00e9curit\u00e9, et de questions sociales et psychologiques, publiant des politiques sur des sujets qui n&#8217;avaient jamais \u00e9t\u00e9 anticip\u00e9s auparavant, tout en rappelant constamment au personnel et \u00e0 la direction que nous traversons cette \u00e9preuve ensemble et que nous nous en sortirons d&#8217;une mani\u00e8re ou d&#8217;une autre. Les v\u00e9t\u00e9rans des crises pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes ont compris que l&#8217;action rapide et la compassion ne s&#8217;excluent pas mutuellement et que le fait de reporter les d\u00e9cisions au beau milieu d&#8217;une double catastrophe sanitaire et \u00e9conomique finit par avoir un impact beaucoup plus lourd. Mis \u00e0 part les courageux professionnels de la sant\u00e9 qui continuent de risquer leur vie sur les lignes de front de la pand\u00e9mie, peu de professions ont support\u00e9 un fardeau \u00e9motionnel plus lourd tout au long de cette crise. Et c\u2019est loin d\u2019\u00eatre fini.<\/p>\n<p>D\u00e8s le d\u00e9but de la crise, les professionnels des RH de toute l\u2019Am\u00e9rique du Nord sont pass\u00e9s \u00e0 l&#8217;action en consultant des experts, en effectuant des travaux de recherche, en identifiant les meilleures pratiques et en collaborant avec leurs pairs pour trouver une voie \u00e0 suivre. En mars, 40 000 professionnels des ressources humaines ont particip\u00e9 \u00e0 un webinaire de la SHRM, le plus important de l\u2019histoire de cette organisation. Mais les professionnels des RH obtiennent rarement le respect qu\u2019ils m\u00e9ritent.<\/p>\n<p>Il y a cinq ans, la Harvard Business Review (HBR) a publi\u00e9 une couverture intitul\u00e9e \u00ab It\u2019s Time to Blow Up HR and Build Something New \u00bb (Il est temps de faire sauter les RH et de cr\u00e9er quelque chose de nouveau). Les histoires \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur de ce num\u00e9ro de la revue reprochaient aux RH d&#8217;avoir trop de contraintes administratives et pas assez de vision strat\u00e9gique ou d\u2019impact programmatique. Ce genre d\u2019articles ne verrait jamais le jour dans notre environnement actuel, parce que ce sont les organisations RH qui ont fourni le ciment pour permettre aux organisations de garder leur coh\u00e9sion. Une nette majorit\u00e9 des organisations des personnes interrog\u00e9es (58 %) ont mis \u00e0 pied des employ\u00e9s et, pour beaucoup, ces d\u00e9parts ont \u00e9t\u00e9 importants, 59 % des organisations interrog\u00e9es ayant mis \u00e0 pied 30 % ou plus de leurs employ\u00e9s. Cependant, plus d&#8217;un quart (27 %) \u00e9taient des entreprises essentielles qui ont vu leur maind&#8217;oeuvre augmenter pendant la crise, un tiers n&#8217;a vu aucun changement et 40 % ont connu une diminution de la taille globale de leurs effectifs. Les personnes interrog\u00e9es ont indiqu\u00e9 qu&#8217;en moyenne, 36 % de leurs effectifs \u00e9taient en t\u00e9l\u00e9travail avant la crise. Ce nombre a grimp\u00e9 \u00e0 56 % pendant la crise et devrait se stabiliser avec 39 % des employ\u00e9s, soit une augmentation nette de 8 %, en t\u00e9l\u00e9travail apr\u00e8s la fin des consignes de confinement.
